The movie “The Last Knight” is now playing in theaters in the US.
Disney and Lucasfilm are releasing the film on December 8.
Disney has a major push in the holiday season with the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which has already grossed $1.1 billion at the box office.
The sequel is being directed by Rian Johnson and will be the first film to be released from the original trilogy.
Johnson’s last film was “Rogue One.”
In the trailer released earlier this month, the characters from the first two Star Wars films are seen in a galaxy far, far away.
“The Last Knights” is directed by Johnson and is set to open on December 16 in the United States.
The movie will be followed by a three-day celebration on December 18, and then a theatrical release on December 20.

The movie will feature a score by composer Ramin Djawadi, who also wrote “The Phantom Menace.”

It grossed an estimated $1,988 million at the worldwide box office, and was followed by “Rogue Us” ($1,058 million) and “The Force Awakens” ($818 million).
